Shaping an outdoor dining area individually with a “pergola” awning
Versatile awning systems are required to provide shade to order for unusual floor plans and large outdoor areas. One such system is the “pergola” model by markilux.
The ‘pergola’ can be combined with our frame system ‘construct’, for example, and can thus provide shade for very large areas. As protection against the wind and rain, it can also be equipped with vertical roller blinds and side screens as well as our new side feature ‘format’ into which a panoramic window can be integrated. LED lighting and infrared heaters ensure a cosy atmosphere in the evening or whenever it turns cooler.
The awning not only provides protection against the sun, but creates additional space outdoors in which guests can spend time at any point during the day, in virtually any weather, which generates extra business in the restaurant trade. Size, colour and cover selection can be adapted to suit the architecture and environment. Furthermore, despite its delicate-looking design, the “pergola” system is extremely stable and can withstand wind speeds of up to force six on the Beaufort scale, even when single units and multiple coupled systems have surface areas of between 30 and 90 square metres. And that is why its dimensions, the diversity and the protection against light rain are key factors in why lots of end consumers choose this awning model.
